PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a low profile rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

Most versatile shoe I own
Title says it all. I have trail run, rock scrambled, mountain biked, hiked and walked hundreds of miles in these. If I am going on a warm weather trip and can only bring one pair of shoes, these are the ones I bring. The sole’s grip is phenomenal, weather on rocks (dry or wet) or loose of hard surfaces. They also breathe extremely well so my feet do overheat. Only downside to that is water goes through the mesh easily, so if in cold weather you would need a pair of waterproof socks. Also, if your feet are on the wider side, if you want to heel lock them you will need longer laces. But all in all, I love these shoes.

Comfy!
Worn these for about a week and really enjoy the fit. Only knocked a star off for sizing. Normally I wear a M11.5 but I had to return and get a M13 for my foot!

Well built
Great show, very well built and wearing in great. My feet are used to more cushioned shoes and these seem to be a great transitional shoes, into a more minimal style.
