EcoFlow Delta 1300 Review

One of the best examples of cutting-edge lithium-ion technology are EcoFlow Delta portable solar power stations. The company manufactures plug-and-play solar power stations that keep a variety of appliances and devices running, from a cell phone or laptop, to an air conditioner or refrigerator.

The EcoFlow Delta 1300 is the ideal companion for camping trips and other off-grid adventures. Cheaper and more accessible than its more expensive version the EcoFlow Delta Pro, the 1300 can power a wide range of useful devices, from a mobile phone, to an electric space heater, to an LED lantern. Best of all, the power station can be recharged using both AC and solar energy.

Why the EcoFlow Delta 1300?

The EcoFlow 1300 portable power station and solar panel is our favorite tool to take on camping trips. It’s affordable compared to other brands like Yeti Goal Zero, compact, relatively lightweight and can manage a wide range of different devices.

What makes the EcoFlow Delta power station unique is that it can simultaneously charge up to 13 devices at a time, even while charging the solar generator itself. It also charges ten times faster than brands like the Yeti 1500X Goal Zero or Jackery 1000. The EcoFlow Delta 1300 battery can be charged by an ac power, 12v power or a solar panel.

The EcoFlow can also act as a short-term power backup solution for an entire house. The EcoFlow Delta can charge large home appliances, like a 500-watt washing machine for 2 hours and a 120-watt television for 10+ hours.

The power station has an AC power output of 1800 watts, with an inverter surge capacity of 3300 watts. It can be charged using 110w solar panels made of aluminum with a silicon coating, which protects them from corrosion. The solar kit can store energy for up to three days without needing to be charged again.

What we like about the EcoFlow portable power station

  • Fully recharges in about 4-hours with 400-watt solar panels.

How many watts is the EcoFlow Delta 1300?

The power station has an 1800 AC watt output and 3300-watt surge output, with a battery capacity of 1260wH. This makes it useful for those who need to charge multiple devices at once and for those who want a powerful backup power source for the whole house.

How fast can you charge the EcoFlow Delta 1300?

The power station has one of the fastest charging times on the market. If you have access to AC power, you can charge the EcoFlow Delta from 0 to 80% within 1 hour. If you are charging the device using solar power, it will take 4-5 hours.

Comparable power stations like the Yeti Goal Zero 1500X can take more than 15 hours to completely recharge.

How long will the EcoFlow Delta 1300 last?

The lifespan of the unit is projected to last for a minimum of 800 charge cycles. This means that the battery will recharge to 100% 800 times before the power station begins to degrade. The power station will still function after reaching 800 cycles, but the lithium battery will slowly lose strength over time.

  • 8 hours usage per month – 96 hours per year – 8.3 years lifespan
  • 16 hours usage per month – 192 hours per year – 4.1 years lifespan
  • 32 hours usage per month – 384 hours per year – 2 years lifespan
  • 64 hours usage per month – 768 hours per year – 1-year lifespan

For camping, using the device for 48 hours per month would roughly equate to camping for 6 days and using the device for 8 hours per day.

For home use, the EcoFlow Delta can be charged up to three times per day, which is more than enough to power an entire house. It can also be used as an emergency power backup system in case you’re traveling far away from home.

What is included with the EcoFlow Delta?

The unit’s front panel also includes a main power switch with a large LCD display screen. This is highly useful as it shows how many charge hours are left to keep providing uninterrupted power supply to your devices at the current rate. It also indicates the input and output flow of power.

Rear Panel

The rear panel of the EcoFlow Delta 1300 has six (6) AC outlets, AC on/off switch and a car outlet. It also includes outputs for charging your car or campervan battery, emitting 13.6 DC power with a max current of 8 amperes at about 109 watts. The power station can even charge an electric car for up to 12 hours consistently.

Can you use the EcoFlow Delta while charging?

One of the noteworthy features of EcoFlow Delta is that it can be simultaneously charged while also providing energy to 13 different devices.

Can EcoFlow Delta 1300 power a house?

Yes, the EcoFlow Delta can run large appliances like a microwave oven, blender, coffee maker, television, and refrigerator.

What type of battery does EcoFlow Delta 1300 use?

The EcoFlow Delta has a 100-Cell lithium-ion battery.

What is the warranty on the EcoFlow Delta 1300?

What is xBoost mode, and how does it work?

If you need to power a device that requires more than 1800W, you can utilize the X-Boost mode that comes standard in the unit from Ecoflow. This setting is turned on by default. X-Boost allows you to power a device with a maximum output power of 2200W while still providing a rated output power of 1400W. This protects the unit from failing to function properly as a result of overload.

What is battery capacity and how much wattage do you need in the EcoFlow Delta?

This depends on what types of devices you will be charging, and how many watts each device requires. The devices that you charge cannot exceed the EcoFlow Delta’s maximum output of 1800 AC watts. Therefore, if you’re planning on running devices that require anywhere from 10- to 1700 watts, your EcoFlow Delta should have a minimum of 1800 watts. For example, a lightbulb requires an average of 10 watts and a washing machine requires an average of 500 watts.

Are portable batteries better than gas generators?

An Ecoflow battery provides portable power similar to a generator, but it does not require fuel to function. Ecoflow batteries are environmentally friendly and energy efficient. They are also lightweight and quiet to operate, unlike gas generators. Ecoflow’s portable battery technology has replaced and improved the inefficiencies of a regular gas generator.
