The EcoFlow RIVER 2 features

  • In terms of charging speed, You can recharge this in 90 minutes if you plug it up into wall outlet, 3 hours with a 110 watt solar panel, or 5 hours with a 12 volt car charger.
  • In terms of AC output, you have a baseline of 300-watts and a 600-watt surge that it can do temporarily, for short bursts.

Jackery 240 features

  • Storage capacity of 240-watt hours.
  • NCM lithium battery, which is not as good as LiFePO4 primarily because get a shorter battery lifespan.
  • 500 charge cycles, which is less than half the amount of time that you get with the EcoFlow RIVER 2.
  • Charging time is longer, with six hours via the AC wall outlet, seven hours via 60 watt solar panels, and then seven hours If you use a 12 volt car charger.
  • For AC output you get 200 Watts with a 400 Watt surge.

  • There are four outlets and ports, one AC outlet, two USB A and one 12 volt. You don’t get any USB C.

Out of these two, I would choose the EcoFlow RIVER 2 because you get a LiFePO4 battery, more capacity and more charge cycles than the Jackery 240.


EcoFlow RIVER versus Jackery Explorer 300 Plus

With these two models, you can charge a 10-watt phone 50 times, run a 120-watt fridge for about three hours and a 1000-watt rice cooker anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.

It’s a toss up in terms of which of these portable power station that I would choose. They have similar capacity, same type of battery. The EcoFlow is faster AC recharge, more outlets and ports, and it’s 500 cheaper. With the Jackery, you get more charge cycles, a bit longer of a lifespan and it’s about five pounds lighter.
